MY TESTIMONY... updated!
I am blessed with two children, Christopher and Renae, and a granddaughter Sommer.
I was saved in 1973 and my daughter Renae was saved that year also at the age of 10.
I was living in Tennessee and worked in many banks, CIGNA Medicare and doctor's offices.
In
February 1997 at age 50, I had a severe stroke the morning of my Dad's
funeral. I wasn't supposed to live. My stroke was at the
stem of my brain, so it affected both sides. The doctor's gave me
up for dead and wanted to pull the plug on me. My daughter said, "You
don't know my God!" And here I am! I was right-handed and learned
to write left-handed. Then in 2007, colon cancer was found,
thankfully in early stage.
I wouldn't change my stroke. You can see God at work. PTL! It's nice to know I'm in the palm of His hand. When
you're flat down, you can look up and
really count your blessings. All that I am I owe to God, and I love
people and church. A place I would have liked to have visited is the
Holy Land.
My
mind is sharp but Renae's isn't like it used to be. But we know God has
a plan in all of this. I have a good
personality. Not bragging but He has been sooo good to me. He
gave me a good voice to sing and pretty especially when I was
young. PTL. PTL.
 That
was one of my "bad big boo boos". I had a voice God had given me.
Well, I thought I was grown-up and could sing country. That's a no no
no! You see, singing country music is like striding the fence. I used
to think, "Oh I hope God don't come while I'm in here singing!"
Terrible, huh?!!
See, I wasn't using it for His glory. God will forget that. Amen!
That's why I said I wouldn't trade my stroke for that, no way.
I love people, but have to talk pretty slow now; this is my mouth piece.
I love meeting new folks and making people laugh. The
girl that did a sig for me gave me the name of "JollyJudy". She said I
was the jolliest person she had ever met on the webbie (webtv).
Now I'm getting the big head. :-) She also came to see me
in person, from Illinois! She taught me to CC&P. Some
people said I couldn't do that. Well it took me a while but I did!
Everyone was trying to help. I bet people were glad when I learned!
LOL!
Renae
just found out after many doctor visits that she has fibromaialgia. She
takes care of me, even though her legs swell up at times until she
can hardly walk. She's waiting on her disability to come in; but she
keeps the faith and a smile on her face! Please say a little prayer for
her.
My
Grandmother also had a stroke and they had her toe then leg just below
her knee removed from sugar. I remember she was in her bed room
and I, like all younger kids, was standing in her room one day and was
brushing my hair. Of course I was complaining about it. She
never ever said nothing out of the way nor raised her voice to me.
But that day she said, "Judy" with a voice so tender, "Don't
never complain about what God has gave you." And that stuck with
me to this day. She died at age 62 and looked like an angel. And
my Mom was only just 51 when she died. And my kids' Daddy died at age
of 30. My grandmother is where I got my "faith" from. She never
complained and always read her Bible.
So, I am so fortunate to have the things I got from God. That's why I say I'm blessed with looks...and HAD a good voice.
God bless you,
JollyJudy
